IGT’s Commitment

As a progressive organization, IGT Solutions recognizes the critical role that sustainability plays in shaping the future of business. The SBTi provides a robust framework that aligns with our values and strategic objectives. We believe that setting science-based targets will not only contribute to our environmental responsibility but also position us as industry leaders committed to addressing climate change.

In line with SBTi Criteria and Recommendations, we have committed to setting our near-term science-based emission reduction targets. While we are yet to submit our targets for validation, we plan to achieve an absolute reduction in scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 2030 from a 2022 base year and a physical intensity reduction in scope 3 GHG emissions within the same timeframe. This would be achieved by adopting clean energy, energy-efficient infrastructure, and IT equipment. We look forward to the support of all our stakeholders in this journey as we work towards reducing our carbon emissions.

About Science Based Targets

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a partnership between the Carbon Disclosure Project, the UN Global Compact, the World Resources Institute, and the World Wide Fund for Nature. The net-zero target commitment of SBTi includes that greenhouse gas emissions must be halved by 2030- and drop to net zero by 2050 at the latest.
