InterGlobe Technologies launches global CSR program iRise with ‘Project Livelihood’ for women

InterGlobe Technologies (IGT), the leading provider of integrated IT-BPM solutions to the travel and hospitality industry, launched its CSR program ‘iRise – For a Better Tomorrow’, a worldwide initiative aimed at enriching the quality of life within society through education.  With iRise, IGT defines its global community service commitment, where the company will actively partner and fund education and build environments for underprivileged children and youth, empowering skills that are relevant in today’s technology-driven work place.

Its first initiative is a partnership with CAP foundation’s BEST (Basic Education Skills Trainng) program titled ‘Project Livelihood’ which will train underprivileged young women in the right skills and technologies.  IGT will sponsor the education of over 200 young women in Delhi and Chennai centers with specially designed courses, qualifying these girls to realize their full potential and ensure job opportunities in the today’s 21st century workplaces.

As part of ‘Project Livelihood’, these women will be trained for careers as Data Entry operators, Customer Sales Executives, OTC Billing Assistants, Domestic IT Help desk asst., CRM Domestic non-Voice executive and Accounts Assistant (Tally).

“Education is a powerful tool that helps build a better tomorrow, and by harnessing its potential we hope to empower young people around the world so they can rise up and transform their communities and businesses,” explained Vipul Doshi, Chief Executive Officer‚ IGT.

He continued, “Under iRise, we plan a series of initiatives to be deployed bringing value and benefit to global communities. It’ll encompass, among other things, building enhanced learning environments, empowering the right skills and education programs for young women, men and children allowing them to make an effective contribution to the business and to the community.”
